State Legislative Session Testimonies

In the summer and fall of each year, our Advocacy Member Workgroup works in tandem with our Girls* Advocacy & Impact Network (GAIN) to develop policy priorities for the upcoming legislative session. Following this, members convene to discuss emerging policy shifts and next steps for policy creation. This work is often essential in connecting our issue areas to specific bills to track and monitor during session.

As session approaches in January, GAIN members learn more about the legislative process and put their skillsets to use. They eagerly engage in legislative advocacy, by signing in PRO/CON/OTHER on bills, submitting bill comments, signing onto our budget proviso sign on letters, and even prepping and delivering virtual and written testimonies for bills during session. We are proud to highlight testimonies from our youth members and JFG advocates below.
