Participant Liability Waiver and Release
I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in the Walk for Girl* Justice hosted by the Justice for Girls Coalition of Washington State (“JFG”). I understand that participation in this event may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Uneven or rough walking surfaces
Slippery or wet ground conditions due to weather
Exposure to inclement weather (including rain, wind, heat, or cold)
Physical exertion and fatigue
Collisions with other participants or obstacles
Other unforeseen hazards that may arise in an outdoor public setting
I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of injury, illness, loss, or damage arising from or related to my participation in this event, including travel to and from the event site.
I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, and all members of my party (including minors under 18 and adults over 18), hereby release, waive, and discharge the Justice for Girls Coalition of Washington State, its officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury (including death) that may be sustained while participating in, or traveling to or from, this event.
I affirm that I and all members of my party are physically able to participate, and that I am responsible for supervising minors in my care. I understand that JFG does not provide medical coverage for participants and that I am responsible for my own health and safety.
I acknowledge that my digital signature shall be deemed equivalent to a handwritten (“wet”) signature for the purposes of this waiver.
